Get Involved

We have many opportunities for you to get involved!

SUNDAY SCHOOL: Join us for Sunday School at 9:45 AM each Sunday as we meet in the sanctuary for a brief opening with announcements and then break off into various classes for all ages.

CHOIR: “Make a joyful noise unto the LORD, all the earth: make a loud noise, and rejoice, and sing praise.” (Psalm 98:4) Join our choir the first and third Thursday of each month at 7 PM for an hour in the fellowship hall as we practice for weekly worship services. Come with us on occasion as we share gifts of music at area nursing homes and community revival services.

GLEANING FOR THE WORLD: Join our group of volunteers the first Monday of each month as we travel to neighboring Concord to volunteer from 1:30 to 3:30 at this wonderful charity. Every month is a different experience!

PRESBYTERIAN WOMEN: Join our women’s group the first Monday of each month at 7 PM as we meet in homes to enjoy a time of Bible Study, planning and fellowship. This group initiates a mission project for the congregation to participate in each month.

BUILDINGS AND GROUNDS COMMITTEE: “The property of the Presbyterian Church (U.S.A.), of its councils and entities, and of its congregations, is a tool for the accomplishment of the mission of Jesus Christ in the world.”[1] Join the Building and Grounds Committee as it meets quarterly to discuss projects around the facilities and spearheads these throughout the year. You can also get involved by joining one of our Church Workdays!

CHRISTIAN EDUCATION COMMITTEE: “God calls the Church to continue the teaching ministry of Jesus Christ, guiding and nurturing one another through all the seasons and transitions of life. In particular, the church offers opportunities for education and formation as members enter the community of faith, discover Christian vocation, and assume responsibility in the world. The church’s primary standard and resource for Christian nurture is the Word of God in Scripture, bearing witness to Christ’s way of truth and life.”[2] Join the Christian Education Committee as it meets quarterly to discuss and plan educational opportunities including Sunday school, Bible studies, communicants classes, youth activities and other opportunities for fellowship and learning.

WORSHIP COMMITTEE: “Christian Worship gives all glory and honor, praise and thanksgiving to the holy, triune God. We are gathered in worship to glorify the God who is present and active among us-particularly through the gifts of Word and Sacrament. We are sent out in service to glorify the same God who is present and active in the world.”[3] Join the Worship Committee as it meets quarterly with our pastor to discuss and plan for meaningful weekly worship services and special services throughout the year including Ash Wednesday, Maundy Thursday, Good Friday, Easter sunrise, Thanksgiving community, Christmas Eve, Revival and Youth Sunday.

OUTREACH COMMITTEE: “Christian worship and service does not end at the conclusion of the Service for the Lord’s Day; we go forth to love and serve the Lord in daily living. In doing so, we seek to fulfill our chief end: to glorify and enjoy God forever.”[4] Join our Outreach Committee as it meets quarterly or as needed to address immediate needs and to plan for annual budgeted outreach.
