About

We are a small country church with 56 members.  Our history began on October 8, 1842, when West Hanover Presbytery received a petition from Diamond Hill from the Presbyterians living near Molley’s Creek. On April 19, 1843, Presbytery was informed that Diamond Hill Presbyterian Church was organized with a membership gleaned from the fringes of Old Concord and Hat Creek.

A small heart-shaped quartz rock, literally covered with beautiful diamond-shaped stones, set by the Master Hand, gave our church its name—Diamond Hill. Adam Clement, Sr. donated the land in 1842 for the church but a deed was not secured until July 8, 1903 from Adam Clement, Jr. The original building was built in 1890 and was of 6 inch weather boarding painted white. In May 1947, the church was brick veneered. In 1992, the beautiful stained glass windows which grace our sanctuary and depict the life of Christ were added. We celebrated our 175th anniversary in the fall of 2017.
